Final Fantasy VII PC re-release now available for purchase in North America and Europe By Erren Van Duine on August 14, 2012 at 10:19 AM

Unlike the mistake from several days ago, it seems Square Enix has officially gone live with Final Fantasy VII for PC.

The game will be on sale for €9.99/$9.99 through September 12th, and can be exclusively purchased through Square Enix’s own online shop in Europe and North America.

The “updated” PC version of the game will support achievements, cloud saving and come with a character booster – effectively allowing you to cheat by upping your HP, MP, and Gil levels to maximum.

Remember, this isn’t a remake – just a re-released version of the original PC version which was ported from the PS1 in 1998. The North American side has yet to go live, but we imagine that will probably happen some time today.

Chill! We’ve got a buttload of new-gen FFs to come out! The list goes on:
    Final Fantasy XIII-3
    Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Final Fantasy Type-0 localization and possible sequel?
    Final Fantasy X HD
Final Fantasy XIV (does anyone actually care about that game at this point?)

I think plenty of people still care about FFXIV – the new version is looking fantastic.

We don’t need a remake of VII. We’re getting plenty of new games. Why remake, when they can make whole new world’s? They’ve also said that it would very expensive to remake 7
