Next generation Final Fantasy in development for PlayStation 4 By Erren Van Duine on February 20, 2013 at 8:19 PM

If you haven’t heard the news by now, Sony has gone and announced their next generation game platform – the PlayStation 4.

During the third party section of today’s PlayStation Meeting, Square Enix CTO Yoshihisa Hashimoto ran the Agni’s Philosophy demo once again, this time running in real time on Sony’s new hardware. Following the demonstration, another Hashimoto appeared on stage – Final Fantasy Versus XIII Producer and Square Enix VP, Shinji Hashimoto.

While no game announcements were to be had at this time, Hashimoto did confirm a new Final Fantasy title is currently in development for the PS4, and that it will be revealed at this year’s E3. “Please be excited” for it.
