Square Enix reveals their E3 2013 lineup

Square Enix is returning to E3 this year with what can only be described as a Japanese-heavy lineup.

In stark contrast to last year’s Eidos dominated showing, this year is headlined by Final Fantasy XIV and other titles out of the company’s domestic catalog. Their booth will play host to playable versions of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX as well as Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut for the Wii U.

Additionally, Square Enix is planning an assortment of live streaming events to be held throughout the show – the full schedule still pending, but will be centered mostly around FFXIV and interviews from Naoki Yoshida, Motomu Toriyama and Yoshinori Kitase.

Remember: this list does not contain any unannounced titles that will likely be revealed closer to E3 (hint, Hashimoto’s promised PS4 FF title). Square Enix is, however, promising the first look at the next-generation of Final Fantasy.

“Square Enix continues to show its global creative presence like no other game publisher with products from its internal studios around the world as well as key partners,” said Yosuke Matsuda, representative director of Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. “As the industry continues to diversify and expand Square Enix is poised to lead that change with products showcased at this year’s E3.”

Along with hands-on demonstrations of many games, E3 attendees will be able to experience exclusive theater presentations for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, THIEF and Murdered: Soul Suspect.
