New Lightning Returns Music and Concept Art

It seems that today Square Enix has released a video with new Lightning Returns music set to it. The clip contains some extended versions from the scenes present in the Japan Expo trailer, although the only audio is the music. A number of concept art shots of the Dead Dunes area are also starting to pop up, and we’ll be updating our gallery as larger or higher-quality images become available.

Some of the concept art has in-game shots, and showcases a few of the ruins we’ve seen in the distance previously. There’s also concept art of the Crux, the item Lightning is shown using to calm down the sand-twister in the Japan Expo Live Demo.

A few new things popped up in this trailer, such as Chaos seeming to bend around or toward Lightning in the CG with Snow at the beginning. The track currently doesn’t seem to have a title, but it contains hints of Lightning’s theme. Supposedly, according to Mitsuto Suzuki (the composer for this track) some form of special mix track should be released tomorrow.

Thanks go to community member Ksar for bringing the above materials to our attention.
