Bravely Default’s western release will include “For the Sequel” content By Erren Van Duine on September 2, 2013 at 10:21 PM

As one might have expected after seeing the language options shown on the Japanese website, today the official Bravely Default twitter account confirmed that the upcoming western release of Bravely Default will be the enhanced version, with more save slots, adjustable difficulty, improved graphics and many other improvements. In addition, the localized release will also include both the Japanese and English audio tracks – same as the upcoming Japanese re-release.

Bravely Default: For the Sequel is currently scheduled for a December release in Japan with a European release scheduled for sometime this year as well. North American fans can expect the game to launch sometime in 2014.

Oh good, I was worried that was just a rumor. Looking forward to this even more!

Omg dual audio is the real megaton here.

Play with subtitle in english and japonese audio will be possible? If yes, Nichijou’s Mio voice will be listen o/

not complaining, but why didn’t they just release all of those things in an update instead of making re-packaging the game, but with all the extra stuff. it would be like nintendo releasing another MK7 on stores instead of updating it for the glitch on that course.
anyway, glad we’re getting the game at least. definetly will be picking up a 3DS for this, pokemon, and zelda in 2014!

They did. In Japan, you’ll be able download the For the Sequel content as DLC (priced at 2,990 Yen) if you’ve already got the game. All new printed copies will be the For the Sequel version, though, so there only will be one version for territories outside of Japan.

Personally, I’m most excited about the adjustable encounter rate. There comes a point in every RPG where I’ve become so strong that random encounters just become an annoyance distracting me from the things I actually want to do.

Dual-audio takes up a lot of space on any game though, doesn’t it? Since I haven’t played the JP version of Bravlely Default, would you happen to know if it contains a lot of speaking lines?
