New Kingdom Hearts III footage expected at Disney's D23 event this weekend

With Tetsuya Nomura set to take the Play Community “Conversation with Creators” stage once again, fans eager for “what’s next” with Kingdom Hearts III needn’t wait much longer.

The latest PS4 creator’s video is scheduled to hit some time this month – that much we know. Additionally, Square Enix is set to bring the game and other goodies along with them to Disney’s first ever D23 in Japan this weekend from October 12-14th. In the lead up, Sony Japan sent out an email detailing Nomura’s next appearance on camera – his previous discussion centering on Square Enix’s other next generation bet, Final Fantasy XV.

The email – which has been translated thanks to Goldpanner – describes Conversations with Creators as a video series in which Sony interviews developers of PS4 titles that have been announced thus far. Similar to the FFXV video, Nomura will once again give his perspective on Sony’s newest hardware as well as some insight on the latest chapter to the Kingdom Hearts series. As a little teaser for members of Play Community, Nomura said a few words to get fans excited for the upcoming release.

“I still don’t have much information on KHIII that I can release to the public, but I spoke to the extent I was able,” said Nomura. Please enjoy the interview, along with part of the new clip that will be released at the [D23] event this month.”

If this quote is to be believed then fans may catch a glimpse at some new Kingdom Hearts III footage at Disney’s event this weekend. Considering how little in the way of “new” shown at E3, surely Square Enix could have prepared a little more in the four months since then?
