Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster Vita date announced, PS3 Collector's Edition revealed

Square Enix announced today via the PlayStation Blog that the upcoming release of the HD versions of Final Fantasy X & X-2 will be out on the same day that the PS3 version is set for – March 18th for North America and March 21st in Europe.

The game will support cross-save functionality which lets users play transfer their saved game from the PS3 to the Vita and back again. The Vita version of the game will be available for $39.99, with the physical version containing FFX and a download code for FFX-2. Both the PS3 and Vita releases will be available for digital download on PSN.

They have also announced that a Collector’s Edition of the PS3 version will be available exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store. This version will include a 40-page artbook, the original soundtrack available as a blu-ray music disc featuring 6 hours of music set to images from the games, and five art lithographs. This version will retail for $79.99.
