Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XIII concluded a short while ago and with it came an abundance of information and announcements both big and small. There is a lot to cover so let us break this into parts to make it easier to digest.

Patch 2.2 Update Notes – Preliminary
We will start with the most important; due to the obscene amount of content in Patch 2.2, the development team have released preliminary notes that highlight the most prominent features of the upcoming patch, we are told that an update to the patch notes will be coming sometime early next week. The patch notes feature quite a few features that weren’t spoke about previously, and I for one am very partial to surprises; things such as the Challenge Log and Multiple Nightmare Mounts. Also included is a plethora of information relating to Guildhest Adjustments, Guildleve Adjustments, Housing Features, Dungeons, Primals, Raids and more. Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XIII
The Letter from the Producer LIVE covered many different aspects of the upcoming 2.2 patch; such as Glamours, New Mounts, and Retainer Ventures, along with some unexpected announcements like the upper item level for 2.2 being 115 and 110 for weapons and armour respectively, as well as confirmation of the Frontlines PvP and Player versus player Animal Armour that has previously been shown to be included in patch 2.3.
Yoshida also announced that their next LIVE will be at Nagoya, and that they will also be appearing on NicoNico Live on the 5th April 2014 for the 4th part of the show. It was also mentioned that in honor of the official soundtrack launch, Soken will be hosting his own LIVE at NicoNico Live on the 26th March 2014.

New Eorzean Collections
Also featured in the LIVE Letter was a new version of the Eorzean Collection, showcasing a new variety of player equipment alongside the newly announced dance emotes that are being introduced in Patch 2.2:

Titan Extreme – Retro Version
Main Scenario Writer Kazutoyo Maehiro also featured a video that he made across ten days showing a typical Titan EX battle but in retro Final Fantasy formula, much like the Lightning Returns retro video featured recently. Seeing things like Meteor on the set of Granite Gaolers, destroying the super-bomb at 11 o’clock as well as watching the Dragoon die and receive the loot were particular high points and really shows the developers enthusiasm and relativity to the community.

That’s all for the insane volume of news today, we will announce the new patch notes once the update for them goes live, and I hope everyone is as eager for Patch 2.2 as we are; although not so eager for the 25 hour maintenance preceding the update, but that’s life.
