Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.2 dungeon bosses get previewed in new screenshots

Patch 2.2 for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is nearly upon us and that means new dungeons, new locations and new enemies for everyone to explore. Today we have some new screenshots focusing on new dungeons – specifically The Lost City of Amdapor, Halatali and Brayflox Hard Mode and the new “Invasion” turns coming to the Binding Coil of Bahamut.

According to a new report from Game Watch, several new bosses will be making the cut including the classic FF creature Diabolos, a zombie-infected Goobbue, and even a goblin tank. The Binding Coil of Bahamut will also see new enemies including Medusa from Final Fantasy XI as well as a mechanized treant and ochu variant known as Rafflesia that players will ultimately encounter as boss fights.

Similar to 2.1, both new Hard Mode dungeons will require a player level of 50 while the item level requirement is stacked at 55 or above. To enter the next stage of the Binding Coil of Bahamut, players will need to have cleared through Turn 5 – and will operate on a lock-out system similar to the current dungeon.

The next report ahead of launch will look at some of Patch 2.2’s new systems.
