Final Fantasy XIV’s latest content patch will launch later tonight, allowing for a six hour maintenance from 9PM PDT to 3AM PDT in preparation for a number of game content changes. Square Enix has been mum on what’s coming, however, citing in a recent interview at Gamescom, Yoshi-P told us that the team will be making some big changes to the mob hunt system – although exact details remain under wraps as he doesn’t want to cause even more conflict in the community before the patch launches in several hours.

Other anticipated updates include PvP adjustments, new Beast Tribe dailies and other additions to the chocobo raising system implemented in Patch 2.3. Full patch notes will be available some time tonight. We’ll be sure to update this post when they come online.
