Final Fantasy XV demo to be available for a limited time

Those looking to get their hands on Final Fantasy XV’s planned demo – Episode Duscae – will want to do so quickly whenever Square Enix seems fit to launch it.

According to director Hajime Tabata on today’s Type-0 HD broadcast, the demo will be available for a “limited time” as he feels the demo is a “special opportunity” and sort of gift for those who have waited so long already.

“For the users who have been waiting, we really wanted to provide a version of the game that could be played as soon as possible, so we thought up this sort of gift,” Tabata said in regards to the demo. “But rather than make it available forever, we’re thinking of a cut-off period. It wouldn’t be a very long period, in order to make its existence feel a little more special.”

More importantly, Episode Duscae won’t be releasing immediately alongside Final Fantasy Type-0 HD in March. Tabata says that the demo will be around an hour in length, but those looking to explore every inch can maybe get four or more from it. While the team is planning on taking player feedback into consideration, the demo’s content hasn’t been fully decided on yet. We should hear more details next month at Jump Festa.

Final Fantasy XV’s demo will be bundled with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD as a downloadable voucher.
