Ceremony of the Eternal Bond, Relic weapon upgrades arrive in today in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.45

Today marks the release of Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 2.45, bringing with it some interim content to players looking to further themselves in the game either through the next step in the Zodiac Weapon quest or pledge themselves to their partner in the newly established Eternal Bond ceremony.

Through a series of quests, two players can obtain special outfits and participate in a special ceremony along with guests as they pledge their devotion to one another. In order to take part in these festivities, players must first register on the official Eternal Bond website and select one of several – including paid – options to book their slot.

Additionally, the patch continues the long-running Zodiac weapon quest series, and marks the first time that the upgraded weapons will take on a new appearance, introducing iconic weapons such as the Excalibur and Yoichi’s Bow. The update also features adjustments for the dragoon and ninja jobs classes, a new feature that allows seasoned veterans to assist their fellow adventurers in the Final Coil of Bahamut, new items, and much more.

The full patch notes can be read here.
