Final Fantasy Type-0 will be getting the blu-ray music treatment, according to a new mini interview with composer Takeharu Ishimoto in Famitsu this week. According to him, Square Enix is set to release his updated score on the high-data format some time next year – likely in time for the game’s release. Ishimoto has been diligently posting the progress of his recording adventures through his own Twitter, and it looks like things have recently wrapped up.

The game’s original soundtrack spanned across 3 CDs and came in both standard and limited edition flavors. It is currently unknown if the HD version will offer the same, although we expect a formal announcement soon enough.
