Final Fantasy XV Lead Game Designer updates us on Episode Duscae

“The last 20% is crucial,” Final Fantasy XV Lead Game Designer Wan Hazmer said today in a Tumblr post in regards to his work on the upcoming Episode Duscae following a recent statement indicating the trial was nearing 80% complete.

Hazmer echoed Tabata’s words as well, stressing that the optimization, polishing, and debugging won’t be an easy task – “hell on earth” he called it. All things considered, however, he looks forward to the day when fans can experience the demo on their own once it’s done. With Square Enix trying a few new things with Final Fantasy XV’s open world exploration and action-oriented battle system, Hazmer says “feedback is crucial towards the success of this new numbered Final Fantasy.” Director Tabata also expressed a similar desire heading into 2015, asking fans to present their thoughts and opinions without reservation.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae will come bundled for a limited time with both first print physical and digital copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD as a downloadable voucher code. While Type-0 will see its release worldwide in March, Square Enix remains mum on when fans will get their hands on the XV demo for now.
