Square Enix has released the first video for Mevius Final Fantasy today, their upcoming “console-level” title for smart devices.

The trailer gives you a first look at the combat system, some of the monsters, character classes and a moogle in a style highly resembling that of the Final Fantasy XIII series. The game is played through a simple taping of the screen to initiate battle and players can switch between various job-types such as Black Mage and Ranger.

Mevius Final Fantasy is due out on iOS and Android in Japan in Spring 2015.
