Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward benchmark dated with a new trailer

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is getting a new benchmark and fans can look forward to downloading it this coming Monday, Square Enix announced.

The game is being featured at this weekend’s NicoNico Chokaigi event in Japan, where game producer/director Naoki Yoshida took the stage to answer fan questions and show off a bit of footage from the upcoming download.

The benchmark – which will allow players to toggle between DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 version – will be available on April 27 at 12AM PDT. In anticipation of its launch, Square Enix has released a lengthy video detailing what to expect – including a look at the new job classes in action as well as new class abilities and the revised dragoon Limit Break.
