Kingdom Hearts III news expected at D23 Expo in November

Fans should be set to hear more on the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III in November, director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed in an interview in Japanese magazine Famitsu this week. The game is making an appearance at this year’s D23 Expo along with some “interesting things” planned.

There will be Kingdom Hearts III news, and various things, I think,” Nomura told Famitsu. “Development on Kingdom Hearts III is going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it. As one of those new announcements, I think we should be able to announce a smartphone-specific development for the series in short order.”

Nomura also commented on his involvement in the upcoming Dissidia Final Fantasy arcade release and his rendition of the recently revealed inclusion of Ramza from Final Fantasy Tactics. “We’ve been getting in some orders for prospective characters,” he said. “Since there are a lot of characters from derivative works following Ramza, we’re looking to select characters from numbered titles that have not yet appeared. Personally, I’m pressing for [FFII‘s] Minwu.”
