Square Enix reveals Gamescom 2015 line-up

Square Enix has just revealed their Gamescom 2015 lineup – said to be their biggest at the ever. The upcoming Hitman game and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will not be playable at the show, but will be shown through special stage demos alongside Final Fantasy XV. Square Enix’s main stage will be reserved for Final Fantasy XV where they plan to have “many well-known guests” and deliver “new insights” on the game across multiple presentations. More information regarding the Final Fantasy XV stage schedule will be announced prior to the show’s opening.

The following titles will be playable at Square Enix’s booth:

  • Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below
  • Final Fantasy Type-0 HD on PC.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward

Heavensward is the first expansion for the popular online title Final Fantasy XIV that charts a new course for players with an increased level cap and brand new adventures. The expansion features an all-new storyline surrounding the Holy See of Ishgard and the thousand-year Dragonsong War, a brand-new playable race named the “Au Ra,” new jobs, and more. The expansion also continues cross-platform gameplay between the Windows PC, and PlayStation 3 and Playstation 4 systems.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Developed by Dontnod Entertainment, the Paris-based studio that released its debut game Remember Me in 2013, Life is Strange takes place in the fictional town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, where senior Max Caulfield returns after a five-year absence. Reunited with her former friend Chloe, the pair begins to uncover the uncomfortable truth behind the disappearance of fellow student Rachael Amber.

Step into the fray as Class Zero, a group of fourteen students from an elite military academy whose country is attacked by an aggressive neighbouring Empire. The PC edition that was recently confirmed for release will be distributed through the “Steam” online gaming platform. The game has had new graphical options for high-end PC users added, as well as improved battle and camera controls and Steam community features.

Hitman Go is a turn-based puzzle game with beautifully rendered diorama-style set pieces. You will strategically navigate fixed spaces on a grid to avoid enemies and take out your target or infiltrate well-guarded locations. You really have to think about each move and all the Hitman tools of the trade you would expect are included; disguises, distractions, sniper rifles and even 47’s iconic Silverballers.

Lara Croft: Relic Run
