We’ll see Final Fantasy XV at its truest form in March By Red Makuzawa on January 4, 2016 at 9:14 AM

Some short interviews from the upcoming Famitsu magazine with various video game developers have made their way online today, thanks to Hachima. The director of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata, shared a little more on the development on the game and teased that we will see Final Fantasy XV at its finest during the game’s March release date presentation.

“This year is the year we’ll release Final Fantasy XV,” Tabata told Famitsu. “Currently, we’ve decided on all of its specifications and the beta version is under production so we can shift into the debug phase. We’ll show the real XV during the release date announcement this March.”

More information is expected on the game during an upcoming Active Time Report sometime this month. Final Fantasy XV is scheduled to release on PS4 and Xbox One in 2016.

I’m starting to get teary eyed. The fact that I enjoyed Episode Duscae so much even with its incomplete combat and inconsistent visuals, i’m not even prepared as to how i’m going to feel for the final product.

  • Red Makuzawa

The “real FFXV” will be shown off then? I’m officially more hyped than I obviously was before. 🙂

  • highsky00

So all the things we have seen about FFXV are fake ? You’re always teasing us ,SE .
The final form must be overpowered .

  • HalfLucan

Time to knuckle down and learn Japanese, or my ears will be subject to the torture that is the English dub.
(I’m not a sub purist, but Noct and Gladio sound almost identical)

  • The months I have locked on for release, in order of priority and based on how previous main (not sub or sequels/prequels) entries have released are: December, April, July. I sincerely hope I’m not right though…

  • awvnx

The demo was dual audio, along with the FF13 trilogy on PC. Also, they stated that the dub was pretty rushed for the demo schedule so it should be a lot better in the final release.

  • HalfLucan

    im hoping so 🙂

  • Randy

To you fucktards who said FFXV/FFversusXIII is never going to release, i say FU*K YOU all and have a nice day.

  • Jesus Christ

I’m very pleased to be excited for this.

  • Tsakane

From what I’ve heard, the Behemoth isn’t actually a boss in the game and it was just used as sort of an exhibition for the demo, so as not to reveal too much from the actual game.

  • highsky00

Yeah i know Behemoth is just a big animal not a boss .I was joking anyway 😀

  • PSXQ8

Reality says no release date yet, Fantasy says March so figure it out yet?

  • Good news, but for once, I’d just like to play a FF game in it’s native language.

  • Can’t wait to see Cor again! Oh man! Oh man! It’s coming. I think that my eyes won’t stand to see the prime version of this and when I put my hands at the Ultimate Amazing Awesome Epic of Epic Edition I will be so amazed that I won’t know what to do with it.

  • Allan

Hmm… how long does a debug phase typically lasts?

Cant wait to play this game!!!

  • Ene

Damn, after waiting for so many years… it really feels unreal lol

  • Praise be to Yevon.

  • It really does.

  • I wonder if you play your cards right will this game have a chance to keep guest characters longer. Or maybe let you get more limit breaks sooner. It seems like as the years go by the keep nixing LBs and Summoning. I want to see FFs go back having those unique traits of FFs as more important and valuable to the story and battle. I’m tired of people whining that people who like LBs and Summons and use them only like that because they’re a crutch as oppose to having real skill with the spells and skills.

  • Ilias

This game is going to be one of a kind!!!

  • Jesus Christ

    My Name is Christ,

Jesus Christ. Remember that Holy Name.

  • Arapahoe

It better be. I heard about this game when I was 25. When this game releases I’ll be 37.

  • Anthony San Juan

Collectors Edition here i come! 🙂

  • Tyler

Depends on the game. In Battlefield 4’s case…a year and a half after release

  • Blaqsailens .

Lol I heard about this game when I was about 9 years old and I’ll be either 20 or 21 when it finally releases. The wait has been ridiculous.

  • Nick Greeley

They’re more than likely going to release the Japanese VO/Lip-sync data as DLC, like they did for Lightning Returns, so no need to get the JP version lol. Tabata is well aware of the demand for dual-audio.

  • Nick Greeley

I wouldn’t be surprised if the entire ED scenario isn’t in the game

  • Arapahoe

Too long. This better be the game of the century next to ff7 lol

  • Sathil

It finally releases *we get unplugged from the matrix*

Wouldn’t that suck balls xD. I hope the joke isn’t in bad taste, I would REALLY hate to jinx it.

  • Sathil

This is SE, there’s at least 15 forms.

  • highsky00

    It’s like dragon balls :))

  • WEL

I wouldn’t be basing expectations on the time it has been taken to be made since the whole project was started from scratch in 2012. This is not the same game that was started in 2005.

  • Nick

I see the title changed from “finest form” to “truest form”, which I agree is more appropriate. But now that it’s been changed to “truest” I also think it’s more correct to change the word “at” to “in” so it reads “in its truest form” as opposed to “at its truest form”. Things are IN forms rather than at forms. Nitpicking, I know, but might as well make it correct if it’s an easy fix.

  • Average Afro

I’m down voting this, not because I don’t like you, but because If people down vote it, and less people see it, there will be less chance it’ll be true

  • Sathil

I don’t blame you! I hated being the one to say it but I think it needed to be said!

  • Justice V

I’m hoping for a December release.

  • Justice V

Yeah they said pretty much all of the demo was just for the demo and not actually in the game. Just the area is and of course the monsters, Cid, etc. But the car breaking down and the fun times being had was just for players to get a feel of how the game works and the buddies.

  • You’d prefer to play it in December rather than July or April? Why?

  • Justice V

I tend to just like games I’m really looking forward to releasing in December. Not to mention q4 gives them just a little more time to finish testing, optimizing, and polishing the game before release. But alas now we know it’s a September release.
