Final Fantasy XV, World of Final Fantasy set for Taipei Game Show this month

Update: The Final Fantasy XV presentation is confirmed not to be the January 2016 Active Time Report in a tweet from the game’s official Japanese Twitter profile. Additionally, the tweet also states that the contents from the Final Fantasy XV presentation will differ from the contents for the Active Time Report.

Original story below as follows

Sony Computer Entertainment Taiwan today revealed plans for Taipei Game Show – which is set to run from January 29th through February 2nd this year – and include a selection of stage events from popular overseas creators.

Among them, director Hajime Tabata will be showing off a bit of Final Fantasy XV while producer Shinji Hashimoto will take part in a game demonstration along with director Hiroki Chiba for World of Final Fantasy.

On January 31st both games will be on display at the PlayStation booth starting from 11:00 local time (10PM EST on January 30th) where Tabata will kick off his hour-long presentation to share with players worldwide the latest news on Final Fantasy XV. Then at 13:00 local time (12AM EST) Hashimoto and Chiba will go on stage for 35 minutes to talk more on World of Final Fantasy.

It’s unknown if this is the date of the promised “late January” Active Time Report but we expect Square Enix to make a formal announcement as we close in on the end of the month. Last year at TPGS details from a similar stage event were shared a few days later in their own dedicated ATR so it’s likely the same thing could happen here, perhaps even reversed.
