Nomura talks 2016 and beyond in latest Famitsu creators feature

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu features their annual creators interview on their ambitions for 2016 and beyond – including a few words from Square Enix’s own Tetsuya Nomura who teases more information on his titles now in development.

As the director of the Kingdom Hearts series and Final Fantasy VII Remake – as well as a character designer for the Final Fantasy series itself – Nomura calls attention to both World of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue as well as his own major console projects.

“Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake have entered a significant time of development, although like every year when it is in the middle of development, PR will release information to the public,” Nomura said. “Such as arcades and in regards to copyrights, and with respect to what management is continuing to do, we’ll try to make our content more fun.”

According to Nomura, both World of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue are progressing well and should be released as scheduled this year. He notes World of Final Fantasy in particular is charming.
