Final Fantasy IX is out now for mobile platforms

Final Fantasy IX is out today on mobile platforms in a bit of a stealth release. Square Enix dropped the game on iOS and Android store fronts this morning, launching at a 20% discount price of $16.99 through February 21st.

Featuring the same game content as the original PlayStation version, the mobile release offers a few additions such as achievements, seven different game boosters including high speed and no encounter modes, auto save functionality and high-definition movies and character models.

Final Fantasy IX is also planned to hit Steam in the early part of 2016, although Square Enix has yet to reveal when exactly that’ll be. In the meaning though, you can grab the mobile version either on the Google Play or App Store.
