Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward original soundtrack previewed in new trailer

In just over a week fans will have an opportunity to purchase the long awaited soundtrack for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. Due out on February 24th, this release includes all of the music found in the game’s first expansion as well as tracks from Patch 3.1 “As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness.”

Additionally, the soundtrack will come packed with several bonuses including a trailer for Heavensward, a documentary showing how music is created with Masayoshi Soken, and orchestral recordings of “Torn from the Heavens” and “A New Hope.” The package also includes a code for a “Spoony Bard” minion based on Edward from Final Fantasy IV to be redeemed in-game for a limited time.

As with past blu-ray music releases, Square Enix is also including a set of MP3s on disc that can be extracted using a blu-ray disc player such as a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 or PC with a blu-ray disc drive. Those interested in pre-ordering can do so over at Square Enix’s online store.
