Here's what fans saw at the first Final Fantasy XV Fan Meeting in Japan

A select number of fans were treated to a special Final Fantasy XV-themed event in Japan today as Square Enix kicked off their first fan gathering for the game.

Square Enix staff met with participants in two sessions to discuss various ideas related to potential community efforts. Specifically it was revealed the staff are considering an event to be held the night before FFXV‘s release – although nothing is officially confirmed as of yet.

The staff revealed a few other pieces of information as well – noting the game’s camera has been improved and will continue to be adjusted up until release. NPCs will react to Noctis moving through crowds with a sense of realism. The Regalia was also designed with a sense of realism – the team researched Rolls-Royce and other luxury cars as a reference and is said to be worth 50 million yen.

Fans were also treated to a closer look at some concept art, which we’ve collected from various sources below.

Final Fantasy XV is due out sometime this year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The release date will be announced on March 30th when Square Enix plans to take the stage in Los Angeles to reveal the true face of the game at a special event.
