During the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event in Los Angeles a special partnership between Square Enix and Audi was announced: an Audi R8 car modeled after the Regalia will be featured in the companion CGI-movie – Kingsglaive.

Speaking exclusively with Nova Crystallis, Audi Germany revealed that the car model in Kingsglaive is an Audi R8 plus Coupé 5.2 FSI quattro with 610 PS. The R8 has a top speed of 330km/h (205 miles/h) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.

Audi told us that the custom design currently exists as CGI only and was created at Square Enix by director Takeshi Nozue and designer Kenji Kini.

Generally, the R8 plus Coupé 5.2 FSI quattro is manufactured at the Audi assembly plant in Neckarsulm, Germany. There are indeed plans to build a single Regalia R8 car, but according to Audi there are no concrete plans at the moment.

The normal retail version of the R8 plus Coupé 5.2 FSI quattro costs about 190,000€ (aprox. $213,200/276,500AUD). It is currently unknown what Square Enix plans to do with this unique R8 Regalia car.
