Nearly three years after its successful relaunch, Final Fantasy XIV has drawn in over six million cumulative players globally. This milestone – which excludes those who register for the free trial – comes hot on the heels of today’s Patch 3.35 and the announcement of a free login campaign set to run from July 25 (midnight PDT) to August 30 (11:59 PM PDT).

The free login campaign is available to those registered for a service account that hasn’t been active for 30 days or more before the promotion begins. Those with an already active subscription won’t be eligible. For more on Patch 3.35 check out our original report on the announcement here.
