Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV tops 100 million yen in Japan

Box office results are in for Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV after 10 days on the Japanese market. The CGI companion film has sold through 70,133 tickets, grossing 105,611,860 yen (approximately $1 million USD) during its on-going limited run. After its first week, Kingsglaive managed to rank #10 in the Weekly Japanese box office charts after opening on 44 screens.

Starting on July 23 those who go see the movie will receive a special gift, which includes a set of art cards featuring Regis, Nyx and Glauca. Previously, fans were given a card with the film’s version of Lunafreya on the front.

The film is expected to release in North American theaters on August 19, with a blu-ray and digital release to follow worldwide in September.
