More Final Fantasy XV DLC possible outside the Season Pass

Final Fantasy XV might be getting more downloadable content not covered by its recently announced Season Pass. Speaking in an interview with Famitsu, director Hajime Tabata shared a few details on some of the ideas they’ve been kicking around – although they’ve not nailed down any specifics for now.

As it stands right now, the Season Pass includes a number of character episodes, some holiday DLC, a booster pack and an unspecified online expansion pack. Should any additional DLC come about after those initial six, you’ll have to purchase them separately. “If we decide to do DLC that isn’t included in the current Season Pass, then that’s how it’ll be,” explained Tabata. “However, there are many parts that are still uncertain.”

It won’t be just costume DLC either, if these things happen. Tabata hopes to increase the cooking repertoire as well. “That said, our priority is to polish up the main game for the time being. Once we get some wiggle room, then I believe we’ll get to seriously work on development for DLC and VR content. And by the way, the Season Pass and the episodic DLC that were announced along with it are different from the VR content.”
