Square Enix will be revealing yet another new fighter for Dissidia Final Fantasy’s arcade version on August 27 during the game’s tournament finals event in Japan. According to Famitsu, the character in particular has not yet appeared in previous installments of the series, and will launch along with new content titled “Battle of the Gods” featuring Cosmos and Chaos.
Additionally, the company will be revealing new information on the upcoming Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: All-Star Carnival and details on a new smartphone title during a Special Session event at the show. This second part of the event runs from 17:00 to 19:30 JST and will feature appearances by Ichirou Hazama, Takeo Kujiraoka, and Tetsuya Nomura.
Since the game’s launch in arcades, a handful of characters have been added to the roster including Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy IV), Kefka (Final Fantasy VI), Garland (Final Fantasy I) and even Ramza (Final Fantasy Tactics). Dissidia Final Fantasy is scheduled to remain exclusive to arcades through the later part of this year.
