Final Fantasy XV compared on PS4 and PS4 Pro

Final Fantasy XV‘s “Judgment Disc” demo has provided many surprises over the past 24 hours, revealing parts of the game we’d yet to know existed. One such discovery has been found on the PlayStation 4 Pro, which offers up two different graphics settings over its standard PS4 cousin.

While on PS4 Pro, players can choose between a “lightweight” or “high image quality” mode with both doing what you might expect. The lightweight mode seems to uncap the framerate to run around 40 to 50 frames per second while offering a similar image quality to the standard PS4 version at 1080p. The high image quality mode, however, takes advantage of the Pro’s updated GPU with increased anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, higher quality shadows and details capped at a solid 1080p and 30 frames per second.

We’ve gathered a number of screenshots taken from the standard PS4 and high image quality mode on PS4 Pro for you to judge yourself. For the best results, right-click and open each in a new tab to compare the differences.
