Final Fantasy VII Remake resurfaces with new key visual

Square Enix is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII with a new look at Final Fantasy VII Remake. A new key visual has been released, depicting CG renders of Cloud and Sephiroth over a backdrop of Midgar.

Recently, director Tetsuya Nomura noted the game was still a ways off. According to an interview with Famitsu, the team is steadily progressing on production with the goal of making a game that will meet fan expectations.

“Last year, I didn’t put out much information on [Final Fantasy VII Remake], but this year I want to show our progress at an event somewhere,” said Nomura.

It appears we’ll have to wait just a little while longer to see how far the game has come. Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development for PlayStation 4.
