Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood pre-orders open today

Square Enix is opening pre-orders for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood today, due out on June 20, 2017. The company has already begun taking purchases in Japan and Europe with North America set to follow starting at 3PM EST.

As detailed previously, Stormblood will be available in several flavors across all platforms:

    PC:

  • Collector’s Edition – $199
  • Collector’s Edition (Digital) – $59.99
  • Standard Edition – $39.99
  • PlayStation 4:

  • Collector’s Edition – $199
  • Collector’s Edition (Digital) – $59.99
  • Standard Edition – $39.99
  • Mac:

  • Collector’s Edition (Digital) – $59.99
  • Standard Edition (Digital) – $39.99

The Collector’s Edition in particular will host a number of exclusive items including Yoshitaka Amano-themed packaging, a special art book, a cloth map of Eorzea, a logo sticker and a statue of the game’s new antagonist Zenos yae Galvus. Additionally, both physical and digital CEs will come packed with in-game bonuses.

Pre-orders will get you early access to Stormblood starting on June 16. You’ll also get an in-game Red Mage minion and Ala Mhigan earrings to wear. Those who pre-order from the PlayStation Store can grab a bonus PS4 theme and avatar as well. Additionally, a digital upgrade option will be available for players that want to upgrade to the Collector’s Edition for the in-game bonus items, but forego the physical items.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is scheduled for release on June 20, 2017, and will continue the story of the Warrior of Light as they join the resistance and set forth to the vast land of Ala Mhigo, challenging new threats across Eorzea and embarking on numerous new quests. Players can also look forward to the following new features to arrive with the expansion:

  • A new level cap increase (60 -> 70)
  • Multiple new jobs, including the recently announced red mage
  • Exploration of underwater environments with swimming and diving
  • Battle system updates
  • New beast tribes and primals
