NieR: Automata PS4 hardware coming to Japan; prototype gameplay shown in livestream

Square Enix is set to officially announce a themed NieR: Automata PlayStation 4 model for Japan next week. As detailed on a recent livestream, the front of the hardware model will have a huge artwork of Emil; a major character in the NieR franchise. See it for yourself below:

Additionally, viewers were also given a quick look at NieR: Automata’s collaboration with Capcom’s Monster Hunter Frontier Z. The artwork below showcase the headpieces players will be able to wear in Monster Hunter Frontier Z with the left equipment piece for male characters and the right for female characters.

To top things off, Square Enix unveiled 12 minutes of gameplay featuring ‘NieR: Androids’; a prototype build of NieR: Automata. Check it out (5:47 to 18:20):

NieR: Automata is due to release for PlayStation 4 on February 23 in Japan, March 7 in North America and March 10 in Europe. A PC version is scheduled to release via Steam in 2017.
