Yoshinori Kitase talks Final Fantasy VII Remake progress, battle system and more By Erren Van Duine on February 1, 2017 at 2:05 AM

Following up on director Tetsuya Nomura’s comments from a few weeks ago, producer Yoshinori Kitase spoke at length with Weekly Famitsu on the topic of Final Fantasy VII Remake. During the course of the interview, Kitase touched on the current status of the long-coveted project and shared new insight into the various workings of the staff.

“We’re currently brushing up the scene from the announcement trailer,” Kitase says. “We can now see the line of quality that we’re aiming for more clearly, but there’s still a ways to go.” The team’s goal is to carry this effort through the project’s multiple episode releases.

Famitsu asked how Square Enix plans to close the gap between these releases, or rather, how they plan on keeping people engaged between the as-of-yet unannounced number of games the Final Fantasy VII Remake project will add up to. “Final Fantasy VII expanded through a compilation. We don’t have any fundamental plans on that for now, but since the game volumes won’t be something that we can release in just a few months, we’d like to think of a way to supplement those gaps to maintain interest.”

As for downloadable and smartphone content, Kitase notes he’d like to use Final Fantasy XV as a reference. “A live stream or a program to keep in touch with the users is something I’d like to do, but Final Fantasy VII Remake will be episodic, and if we want to have it go all the way to the end of the original version, then I believe we’ll need to devote everything we got for it, so I have no idea what will happen for things such as filler development [between episodes] and other works.”

Currently the base of the battle system has been solidified. Kitase confirms both Nomura and Mitsunori Takahashi, who worked on the Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia Final Fantasy series, are putting their best into it. Although he can’t say much at the moment, he also stresses they won’t be removing any parts of the original FFVII that were well received, such as the Materia system.

In closing, Kitase hopes to show progress made on Final Fantasy VII Remake sometime this year. He thinks it would be nice if they could have it playable or a trailer for it at an event. Famitsu also asked him about a possible Final Fantasy VI Remake, to which he replied: “Right now, we’re working on Final Fantasy VII… The staff within the company are also saying [they’d like to remake it] but it’s on reserve.”

Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development for PlayStation 4. Square Enix recently revealed a new key visual for the game, featuring Cloud and Sephiroth over a backdrop of Midgar.

    2020 confirmed.

  • ◎הÎsu

Let them take all the time needed… nobody want’s a half done, rushed mess of a game.

  • Well, the best place to adverstise it and to create a lot of hype is obviously at E3, but I bet they do it at either TGS or Jump Festa. But as XV has proven, good things are worth the wait. Also, this year there are plenty of things to keep us busy, such as XII TZA, XIV Stormblood and all the DLC from XV.

  • Roger B

Impossible. The source material (story, characters, rpg systems, etc) is already there for them. It’s not like they have to do anything original except for the battle system which they can riff XV for inspiration. Right…?? right 🙁

  • Aulix Indragonz

yeah, let the fans suffer and complain first, but make sure give the fans the reason to be happy in the end when the game is released
not like that other game that makes fans complain first because it’s too long to develop and ended up only been developed for 3 years out of total 10 which make fans complain again

  • Ray Muñoz

Nothing original? Battle system is being completely overhauled, and while it’s action RPG, it still somehow will retain the materia system. There will be more story added, as well as cutscenes with voice acting, which will probably have to be adjusted in some parts. Environments will have to be a LOT bigger, meaning completely new areas to explore. Somehow they have to figure out how to implement the overworld. It’s not just as easy as saying “the source material is already there for them.”

  • Ray Muñoz

When they say things like “We’re currently brushing up the scene from the announcement trailer,” it makes me worry whether each game won’t wind up being that long. If each part is going to be a “full game” like they said, I expect at least 40 hours to clear the main story. FFXV took me 21 hours to do that and was very underwhelming for the most part.

  • Roger B

Just saying that they’re not starting with a blank slate. They know the story beginning and end, they know the interactions along the way, the materia RPG systems have already been vetted, XV can help them conceptualize how the battle system will work. It won’t be easy, but they get to take a lot of things for granted. All the things you mentioned can now take place within the comfort of an already well defined structure and narrative; things other developers wish they had as they begin projects.

  • Ray Muñoz

I get what you’re saying, but all I’m saying is that actually knowing the story from beginning to end is a very small portion of the time that it takes to make this game. As things are now, I’d say we won’t see the first part until the end of 2018 or later. I’m not expecting anything earlier than that.

  • This game is going to consume my PS4 storage data, I can already see it.
    #PrayForData

  • Noctis

Thank god the story is there, so no Tabata sacrifice chain reaction

  • Randy Marsh

Well hopefully this game will come out good, as long as they take their time. Guess we’ll maybe find out more at E3 or Gamescom at earliest. Guess I should hibernate until then.

  • Elvick

Bury the lead, FFVI remake. Even people at SE want it. Get hype.

  • Third World Tristan

    Like FFXV…

  • Miqote

“Something to fill the gap to hold interest” makes me feel likethe episodes will have very long spans

“Famitsu also asked him about a possible Final Fantasy VI Remake, to which he replied: “Right now, we’re working on Final Fantasy VII… The staff within the company are also saying [they’d like to remake it] but it’s on reserve.””

I think that’s the first I’ve heard of any rumblings on a VI remake, other than fans requesting it. This is the first time SE has said anything about it, right? Oh my lordy, get hype!

  • D.3ND

    – Feels-Train horn can be heard from a distance –

  • NoctLightCloud

I guess FFVI fans have something to be happy about right now…that is, until they see the battle system changed, just like in VII, since they won’t make random encounters, no VA, and round-based battles anymore… Then the shitstorm will begin all over again :’D Poor Square Enix…

  • NoctLightCloud

Ikr! FF15 was very rushed because of people constantly asking for it. (They even wanted to delay it one more time to put in more content, and you can see that f.eg. the enemy’s continent had some unfinished areas where people found a glitch to enter it. It clearly was rushed all the way from the Altissia chapter).
If fans keep asking for VIIR, they’ll rush it too, so we better keep quiet this time.

  • curtneedsaride

I sure hope the game can be released before Sony announces the PS5.

  • stevenm281

They’re actually creating new story for the game, Nomura said in an interview that he wants the full Midgar to be explorable for players, he wants more backstory on Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie, etc.

So no, they do not know the full story, they know the overall story sure, but they’ve yet to finalize all the details of the new story.

  • Invictus

Using FFXV as a reference for DLC? Bad idea.

  • XenoSilvano

I am hoping that the trilogy gets release on the same system but if video gaming’s prophet is to be believe, PlayStation 5 will be released in 2020 (a very bad year), I can see Square-enix releasing 2 games by then but the last instalment will probably be release years after the 10th generation of consoles have been released, who knows, maybe they can make a remastered version of the remake for PlayStation 5

  • Stonespear

Bit late for us to worry about them rushing it due to loud voices asking. It was the loud voices that got us the FF7R in the first place.

  • Noctis

someone is knocking at the door

  • neo_chimp

Joining with the other voices here–we need an FFVI remake. FFVII was without a doubt a momentous game in the series but really FFVI was the most ground breaking/paradigm shifting one. The quantum leap in characterization and story cannot be understated. Also, I just would really like to see Edgar use “tools” in 4k.

  • Kchri

interesting to hear him weigh in on the presence of the the materia system. although, as i’ve already thought about it, materia is already integral to the full story of FFVII so i couldn’t imagine its absence. also, even though SE has always incorporated a new game mechanic/systems into every single installment in the franchise, it’s good of them to not fix what’s not broken (but you just know they’re going to tweak it probably in more ways than one). also, it’s nice to hear Kitase himself say that it will be included again. i’m really hoping that they do in fact really listen to the fans on this undertaking.

  • Kchri

incorrect. i believe it was Kitase himself that stated that the staff expressed an interest earlier of wanting to remake VI. it’s definitely been said before that it is something that they are interested in doing, i just can’t remember the source right now.

  • Ryuke

Thanks, that’s why I asked it as a question and not a statement as I wasn’t sure. Good to hear it’s being talked about then, either way!

  • stevenm281

I don’t remember Kitase saying something about this matter, but I know that Nomura did say he wanted to remake FF5.

  • Jorge Curiel

Lol, they still need to develop all models for characters, environments and assets from scratch, just to mention a fraction of the work that needs to be done.

  • XenoSilvano

remake them all says I, the golden years of the FINAL FANTASY series seem long behind us now, that ship has sailed, today’s games just do not have the same charm as they used to

but seriously though, Square-enix needs to be really careful about which games they choose to remake, there may not be as much support behind that notion as some people may like, I think Nomura was right, the game developer really needed to release a new title that would serve as a Phoenix Down to revive the franchise so as not to be labelled as a has-been, with all the problems of FINAL FANTASY XV, I do not feel like it fulfilled that purpose

    #FinalFantasyIsDead

  • XenoSilvano

    who’s there?

  • XenoSilvano

am I the only who thinks that there is a good chance that we might just get the first episode of the remake this year?

  • NoctLightCloud

    Wait for the delay x’D
Even the VII movie Advent Children was delayed like 3 times back in the days. It would be awesome if your comment comes true though 😀

  • NoctLightCloud

    That is very very true…

  • Stonespear

    Still can’t wait, though. 😛

  • VI Sice

If there is another FF that needs to be the next in line for a full remake, it’s FFIX. I need that in my life DX

  • NoctLightCloud

Same here! I’m playing VII right now, just doing the special arena battle 🙂

  • Some Random Guy

I’ll be avoiding all ATR style stuff
I thought the devs were holding things back, but in reality, they showed us 90% of the game.

  • Some Random Guy

2-3 years, especially if they want 20-30 hours of story content per volume.

  • Stonespear

Just climbed the Midgar tower! 😀

  • Randy Marsh

Final Fantasy XV can’t conceptualize how the battle system works since Final Fantasy VII R is not using the same battle system as FFXV, it’s using a new battle system designed to be more similar to Kingdom Hearts. I know you can debate that FFXV uses that system since it originally had that battle system in mind, however FFXV devolved from a Kingdom Hearts clone battle system to a more “enhanced” version Type-0’s battle system. So they can’t use that battle system for ideas for FFVIIR.

  • daveguitar

I’m a big fan of FFVI and I want the system battled changed and not random encounters 🙂

  • Yuntu

Nah, they always say “still a while off” … which doesn´t mean a quick release when we are talking about SE :p

  • Yuntu

Not what he meant though, he was specifically talking about the ATR approach to give people something between releases.

  • Yuntu

FF is as strong as ever though. If we are talking sales, which is all that matters for a company.

  • highsky00

I guess the first disc will be a launch title for PS5 😀 Nomura’s style~~ FF7’s world was a whole planet and now they have to recreate most of them into 3D models. And people who played the FF7 already knew how long it was. I just hope I can play it in my lifetime.

  • Noneofyourbusiness

Release Before Crisis in the West, and the Multiplayer story of Dirge of Cerberus. Duh.

  • Ray Muñoz

Yes. There is by no means a “good chance.” Every we’ve seen confirms this.

  • gunjydna93

Just don’t listen to feminist/sjw fucks and make this game rated M. Also make Angeal playable

  • Amanda K. Dobrowolski

Kuja in hd graphics is lifegoals tbh

  • Ryuke

I think FFXV was their Phoenix Down to revive the franchise. In a lot of ways it has worked, the franchise is being talked about outside of fan circles and many people who haven’t played a FF game before picked it up and mostly enjoyed it. In terms of sales, anyway, Final Fantasy is far from dead.

I’d rather them have not started remaking older games at all. The HD remasters are fine but remakes of the older ones I’m not a fan of. Purely because everyone has a different favourite and once they remake one people will demand another one remade. For example I’d rather VIII remade over VII but someone else would rather VI, another person IX, etc. Now they’re doing one, is this going to be a slippery slope into being forced to remake others?

Personally, the way I see it if people love a game, like VII in this case, then go back and play it again. It’s available on most modern platforms now, just go and replay it and relive the charm and the attraction to the original game. I’d rather new games made than going back chasing past glories. But it’s guaranteed money for SE, soooo… it’s a moot point.

  • Invictus

Really? Did he? If I understood correctly, he wants to use FFXV’s pattern of DLC for the remake. If I understood it wrong, then ATR ala FFXV Style is an amazing approach.

  • Yuntu

Well he never mentioned DLC, I think he dodged that question with his focus on the ATR approach from XV.

  • NoctLightCloud

Awesome! 😀 (I still find the German translation veeeery cringeworthy and incorret..still I’m playing it, it must be love^^)

  • NoctLightCloud

Yesss! Do you want round-based battles?

  • Invictus

ATR style is awesome. Consumer feedback is a must nowadays.

  • At least they’re considering 6. And I hope that battle system is like kh2 meets dmc3.

  • Episode 1 All of Midgar. Episode two everything leading up to Cloud’s home town. Episode 3 everything until Hojo shoot Sephiroths barrier. Episode 4 the ending and after games over find hidden bosses and go open world.

  • Release Crisis Core on ps4.

  • Really bad.

  • daveguitar

You mean turn base? Nop, I don’t want that anymore. (my favorite games of all time are all turn base xD)

  • Stonespear

I’ve played it loads of times, but over the last 20 years I leave enough of a break between playthroughs that it feels just a little bit new each time.

Maybe I should try the German translation for fun – I don’t speak German. 😀

Glad you’re enjoying it. It’s fantastic.

  • NoctLightCloud

Oh yes, turn based! In German, it’s “rundenbasierend”, so I made the classic mistake of translating it literally, sorry x’D
Anyways, I like your way of thinking a lot 🙂

  • daveguitar

Hahaha it’s ok! 😀 and thanx… I guess I like yours too if there’s no sarcasm in your words ahahah

  • XenoSilvano

4 games x 3 year development = 12 years for the entire saga

nahh man, I will be an old geezer by then

  • XenoSilvano

I think having ATR will only serve to ruin the anticipation for the games by divulging elements of the game to the fans before they have even played it, Nomura is not known for that, therefore I trust that he will do everything in his power to keep too much information about the game from being divulged by Square-enix

  • XenoSilvano

“many people who haven’t played a FF game before picked it up and ‘mostly enjoyed it'”

That is something that I am interested in knowing, what those who have played the game truly feel about it, the game sold well, but did gamers actually enjoy the game as a whole(?) did it manifest an interest in them to seek out prior titles in the franchise and/or an interest for the next iteration in the series(?), I would like to (truthfully) know whether the game helped sway gamers towards the series in the same way that each of the respective iterations in the series that each one of us played for the first time swayed us to the series, I was not happy with the way FINAL FANTASY XV turned-out, therefore, I just hope that it did not have the opposite effect and repel gamers, as a fan, this is something that worries me, what the future holds for the series and whether that future will be as good as it has been in the past

You also mentioned “it’s guaranteed money for SE, soooo… it’s a moot point”,

now I could be wrong, as I mentioned in my previous comment, I question whether Square-enix will be able to reap the revenue from the investment that they would make if the decision to remake previous titles were undertaken and whether the company can galvanise interest in the gaming community to purchase them, even if there were a group separate from the one developing the newer entries in the series that were dedicated towards the development of these remakes, I have my doubts about the success of those games, I enjoyed the original entries for the PlayStation 1 that it compelled me to purchase the SNES remasters of the games that were re-released for the PS1 around the same time, however, would that be something that a majority of people would be interested in doing(?)

Aside from this worry, I essentially agree with all of the other points that you brought up

  • XenoSilvano

it is mentioned in the Wikipedia page of this game that certain themes that would be poorly received by today’s standards would be reworked to suit the expectations of today

  • gunjydna93

‘Poorly received by today’s standards would be reworked to suit the expectations of today’ sounds like feminists/sjws who don’t even play the game.

  • Stonespear

I simply do not understand Square Enix’s development team nor marketing team. The Marketing is poor and over-exposed in terms of plot. Then the management behind the development was an absolute Clusterf…. Embarrassingly so.

My concern is that they haven’t learned from this at all, or they have but the sales volume will be enough for them to simply not care and half-arse the next release (FFXVI or FF7R).

I really am worried about that possibility and fervently hope I’m wrong.

  • Stonespear

The issue is that it’s not just down to Nomura. If the money needs to start rolling in, the execs will force promotion to garner interest. It’s the nature of the beast. 🙁

  • Fay Knights

What’s so bad about feminism? You don’t like Tifa then? You don’t like well written, unique male and female characters who are not simple stereotypes?

  • NoctLightCloud

Maybe you should, just for fun^^ I’m not from the Grammar-police, but unfinished sentences, menus where some of the answers aren’t visible, lost in translation conversations and constant changes of how the names are written even seconds after last mentioning the name are what bugs me the most. (I still don’t know if it’s Heidegger, Heideggär, Hedeger or whatever – there are like 10 different versions of his name in VII). It’s still rocking though (I just beat Ruby Weapon) especially due to the characters, and the remake will surely fix those (minor) issues! 🙂

  • NoctLightCloud

I think they might even change some of the monsters/attacks i.e. Hades and his attack or those death-attacks like E5 or Roulette because some people can’t distinguish reality and fiction these days… I might be wrong though.

  • gunjydna93

Cidney in ffxv got censored cause of feminists/sjw. Its cool to support women rights but complaining about video game content is unacceptable. Don’t play the fuckin game if you have a problem with it. Don’t ruin it for everyone else that wants perfection. Also of course I love Tifa thats why I want it to be rated M so she won’t be censored.

  • Stonespear

Haha. Well, why not? Next time I dine in Deutschland!

  • Fay Knights

I don’t know about Cindey’s censorship and who was responsible so I cannot comment on that. Fact is that feminism is NOT against sexy women! On the contrary, it is all about women being able to do and wear what they want, without being subjectified and assaulted. It’s all about being represented as a complex human being and not reduced to your body or a generic stereotypic role.

    2) Wol from Mobius was covered up quite a bit and it were mostly men, who simply couldn’t deal with a sexy outfit for a male character…If it were for feminism, the creator of Wol’s original concept could have had the freedom to keep the original design! Because why shouldn’t male characters be allowed to wear sexy outfits when female characters in games wear them all the time, why are men always so covered up and women rather seldom…
    3) Games without feminism? I wonder what that would look like…I mean there is a lot of feminism in Final Fantasy…and Tifa wouldn’ be who she is without feminism…she would have been just another brainless girl with big boobs and no personality or importance to the plot.

  • Kris Godwin

Translation: “We finally decided that Cloud will indeed be the playable character. Here’s to 2017!”

  • What else can they do. Its a long game. I guess they could make one physical game and all updated episode could be digital downloads acting like dlc.

  • NoctLightCloud

Don’t worry, I don’t use sarcasm in written conversations since some people don’t get it and well…yeah… I think you already know..:’D

  • NoctLightCloud

Have fun ^^ you will even stumble across a few English words since the translators didn’t properly do their job :’)

  • Stonespear

The translation errors were part of what made FF7 what it is lol.

  • gunjydna93

Look I’m not talking about Feminism being in the game or not. I’m talking about people who go out of their way to complain to the game developers about Cidney’s design because they feel offended by her being super sexy. It seems you don’t want me to call these people ‘feminists’ but they fuckin are. They’re are good smart people that support feminism, but you can’t fuckin deny there are plenty of whack jobs ‘Feminists’ who complain about sexual content in games even tho they’re never going to play the game. And your bs about being ‘represented as complex humans and not as a generic stereotype role’ is fuckin horseshit. Game developers don’t have go out of their way to censor their sexy characters because you think sexualized characters are not ‘complex human beings’. Having them censored doesn’t all of the sudden makes those character complex. Supporting women rights is fine but shut the fuck up when it comes to trying to change a game’s contents that’s not even yours. If your so into having complex human beings not being stereotyped, then make your own fuckin game about it. Don’t bash other peoples’ work. If they want to make sexy stereotype girls they should be fuckin able to without people trying to fuck it up.

  • Cloud Strife

It’s also why scenes of Luna’s abuse were cut from the game. I bet it won’t be that easy.

What Rey is trying to say is that everyone should be given the freedom to wear what they want. Truth be told, other than Wol however, not many people (meaning men) like to design male characters with a lot of skin in promiscuous places (although we’ll see where the MC of Xenoblade 2 goes…)

  • Cloud Strife

    xD

  • Cloud Strife

Basically what they did in 2012 to FFXV. Said “you have 4 years to release whatever the hell you’ve got”

  • Cloud Strife

What? No! We’ve seen one trailer of real footage for the first 25 minutes of Midgar’s Bombing Mission, and still Nomura hasn’t talked about anything but his beloved KH series since PSX.

  • Cloud Strife

FFXV still has one of my favorite RPG battle systems, because it has a layer of technical depth. If SE does anything like that for future games, I’ll be very happy.

  • gunjydna93

I get that the people making these censorships don’t want to deal with the backlash but fuck man grow some fuckin balls. But then again, the backlash is coming from crazy mentally unstable fucks so it can get ugly. Shit

  • Some Random Guy

My fear is that it worked.
Marvel does the same unfortunately, they release like 20 TV spots and if you’re obsessed and watch them all… yeah, you get spoiled

When i saw polygons “15 hours of FF” preview, i thought there was wayyyy more story before getting to Titan but we knew all the beats (Beat loqui, go to duscae, beat the behemoth, go to lestallum, get the armiger, go to titan)

I mean, the fact that i can summarise 15 hours of story in one line is WTF

I also remember when Edge magazine posted their extended preview of the game, heavily criticizing the linear portion of the game and then SE’s twitter was like “Don’t worry!”
Well, their preview was pretty spot on because the game doesn’t really improve after chapter 13 either…

Whatever the previews say about FF7R I’m taking 100% seriously. There was red flags and we all ignored them.

  • XenoSilvano

being a fan of cyberpunk and dystopian genres, I am really looking forward to seeing how the developers portray all of the, essentially, post-apocalyptic locations within the game

  • XenoSilvano

the stereotypical black guy that Barrett is portrayed as in the original certainly has to go, Tifa’s oversize breasts has to be more appropriately proportioned, the scene where Red XIII is chasing after Aerith in an attempt to rape her in the sex chamber has to be re-evaluated, Cid’s wife beater behaviour needs toned down, something needs to be done about that shower scene between Cloud and that shower-room full of piping buff dudes, that is only to mention a few

the original story of FINAL FANTASY VII poses quite a number of challenges when you consider that state of modern narratives, I would really like to see how they managed to tackle them all

  • XenoSilvano

I was one of many people who were against the way in which the developers chose to dress Cidney, it seems like the message that she is trying to presenting is rather clear one, for what other reason would you dress like that while exhibiting body language that is sexually suggestive body, within a profession that, as far as our society is concerned, is predominantly hosted by men, on top of that, the fact that the way she is dressed does not add anything towards the narrative of the story due to her serving no poignant role what-so-ever within the game, that pretty blatantly communicates to the observer that she was ‘simply’ put in the game to be objectified with any real reason behind it aside from being eye-candy, some that I feel is becoming more and more out of place as we move forward, I think that people want characters that have more meaning to them rather than what was done with Cidney

just because the developers approved of her being in the game does not mean that she as a character makes sense to be there

  • XenoSilvano

Tabata really was not kidding when he mentioned once that they had already showed of 50% of the game

it was far too much and far too little all at the same time

  • XenoSilvano

I figured that if the development for this game was started more or less around the same time as FINAL FANTASY XV, then they must have something by now

  • gunjydna93

Look your on the side of the fence that wants every female video game character to be covered up and have no sexual appeal and I’m on the other side wanting no censorship and letting the creators create whatever character they desire without having to deal with fuckin complainers. I get what your saying but fuck you. Your one of the reasons Cidney lost her jiggle physics and her butt got flatten. Fuck your ‘everything needs to proper’ view of video games.

  • gunjydna93

Lol fuck everything you just said. Go become a fuckin nun if you can’t handle anything rate above E

  • XenoSilvano

when it comes to the notion of feminism, I think it has more to do with female emancipation and liberty rather than with sexuality, the idea that the female form should be more publicly accepted than how it is today, I think there is a difference between that and someone who is showing-off while intentionally covering-up for the intention of gain attention

  • XenoSilvano

No that is not what I meant, displaying sexuality is fine as long as it makes sense, it is when it does not that you being to question what the point of it all is, it seems somewhat shallow that the developer attempts to appeal to gamers in this way rather than making a character that it accurate to their role, when it come to games, we often compare things to our own reality, it can jarring whenever there is a mismatch and when that mismatch has no appropriate purpose behind it

A character that I could mention that I think nailed sexuality appropriately was Eva from Snake Eater, I think her character used her sexuality to her advantage as a way to achieve her goals against susceptible men, in her case, her use of sexuality made sense

bare in mind that the people who play video-games are constituted by everyday people, we are a diverse group, and within, you are going to get people who, due to their life experiences are going to see the incorrect portrayals of controversial issues that have been part of or make part of our reality within games as being somewhat insensitive due to all of the real world struggles that have taken place to combat these controversies, people will find it distasteful for developers to portray certain things in games without reasonable purpose

imagine if all the people who had blond-hair within a video-game promoted the stereotype that is associated with people with blond hair, people would not stand for it, nobody would think to themselves “is that not so creative of them to add this to the game”

I could also add that the acceptance of female gamers in video-gaming is still contested, just like anything else that people consume, I do not think that it helps societal culture when you present content in such a shallow perspective because you will have people who will be influenced by it and then project that notion into the real world

there are ways to present abuse that is not explicitly

  • XenoSilvano

it is not just me here

Fuck your ‘I’m right’ mentality. Fuck this lets do our best to not not offend any lil bitch that plays our games idea. Fuck all this censorship ur hoping for.

Somehow, I really wish we can get a bit of Crisis Core’s story. I found it strong in terms of characters but I felt the plot was lacking at some parts. Still, it added depth to the the world of FF VII, and it would be a shame not to put it in the remake — even as a summarized version told in the matter of a few extra chapters. Maybe something to have the players occupied with while they are working on the next episode.

  • NoctLightCloud

Same here. Exactly the same. I found battles in XV very very addictive and cool!

  • NoctLightCloud

It would be awesome if you were right!

  • Crisis core was one of the best 7 games other than the original. I gotta say they’ll likely show scenes alluding to it.

  • Thunder Beast

    I hope so, too. 🙂

Don’t know why you’re replying to me. I’m agreeing that there isn’t a good chance lol.

  • Kyris Eiden

I hope they’re have Tifa as she is in the FFV. Don’t catter to the cuckold sjw’s. Rise above their blight.

Feminism is cancer. It should die in a lava hole, burn, and then die a horrible death. Games should be left alone.

  • Kyris Eiden

I’m 100% behind you. People should leave our video games alone. don’t like? Don’t play it.

  • Kyris Eiden

This world is getting too damn sensitive. Making me less and less wanting to like them or feel bad about them. To just disliking them a lot and wish they would leave our things alone. I sick of what this world has become. Hypocrisy and cry babies and cucks.

The world was always filled with these idiots. But the internet gave them a voice/outlet. So they’ll open their dirty whore mouths whenever they get a chance. Never stopping to think about the true meaning of what they’re saying. And they always fuckin think they’re right. I usually never comment on the internet but after ffxv’s Cindy got censored I have to protect FFVII at least. I was always avoiding anything regarding ffxv before its released so I can enjoy it fully so I realized too late about these fucks ruining the game.
