Square Enix has prepared a new trailer alongside the North American release of Dragon Quest Heroes II. Out today on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, the action RPG sequel sees the return of familiar characters and role-playing game mechanics as well as new features such as multiplayer, playable monsters and more.

For the first time, eight characters will be playable in the game’s multiplayer mode, where up to four players can gather together online to fight monsters in Dimensional Dungeons and story-driven battles called War Zones.

Dragon Quest Heroes II itself will feature more customization options than ever before with a diverse selection of skills, weapons and accessories for players to choose from – including deeper gameplay through a new and improved “Monster Medal” system where heroes can not only summon but also transform into Dragon Quest series monsters.
