Dragon Quest Rivals trading card game announced for smartphones in Japan; closed beta in June By Tony Garsow on May 24, 2017 at 10:38 PM

Square Enix has revealed Dragon Quest Rivals — a trading card game based on the popular Dragon Quest franchise for iOS and Android smartphone devices.

Via the game’s official website, Rivals is a game where you collect and battle with cards featuring the series’ characters and monsters, and take on rivals in online matches. You can register for the game’s closed beta test, which is set for June 9th through the 19th — registration closes on June 4th. Note that there will be a limit on participants: 2000 iOS users and 8000 Android users.

Dragon Quest Rivals is set to release some time this year in Japan; no word on other regions at this time.
