Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis teased for December By Erren Van Duine on June 27, 2017 at 2:50 PM

With Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto now available eyes are turned to the next story installment – Episode Ignis, due out later this year in December. Those who play through Episode Prompto are treated to a brief teaser of sorts featuring a look at the bespectacled hero during the events of Altissia’s invasion.

While the video isn’t too terribly spoiler-filled, it does set the mood and characters for what’s to come. We advise you watch at your own risk.

Final Fantasy XV is now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Square Enix has promised to share further developments on the project at this year’s Gamescom.

    I’m not ready for this… Iggy ;-;

  • Jesus Christ

Iggy is one of only a few handsome men in this game. Tragic.

  • Mehmed

I liked Promptos pre 2013 Versus 13 Version.

  • Carlos Rojas

    LOL, eyes

  • gabrieuTG

Is it me or are the graphics a little bit better?

  • •december

…you literally have half a year’s wait, 6 months lol

  • Syul

I was half dead after playing Episode Prompto (my feels…), and this is just going to be the death of me. I sense it.

Bad thing that we have to wait 6 months, but I guess this means we’re going to get something (juicy, I hope) in between, like, in September or October? I mean, from Ep. Gladiolus to Ep. Prompto has been 3 months, and 2 months after Ep. prompto we’ll have Gamescom and these big announcements…

  • Jesus Christ

Prompto was pretyt hot way way way way way back then

  • J2MRaiden

    I mean mentally lol

  • Starscourge

That’s very clearly in engine in Luminous.

  • Games Das

It will be a good Christmas present.

  • stevenm281

Can someone ask Square Enix if they have any intention of making an
OST featuring the music from Episode Gladiolus, Prompto, and Ignis?

The music has been magnificent so far!

  • Vallen

Yup, they improved the Luminous Engine, both DLCs so far had much nicer graphics than the base game (both character models and environments). Also, they went for a more “cinematic” approach and both DLCs have more cut-scenes, rather than in-game talking, which works much better for storytelling. Hopefully they’ll apply these updates to the base game later on to make it look nicer.

  • Vallen

Things I hope the DLC delivers:
    -What happened to Iggy (obviously)
    -More on Luna/Ravus
-The behind scenes of the invasion
-More explodable Altissia (maybe indoor sections)
-What happened with Pryna and Umbra (maybe Pryna’s human form before Ardyn killed her)
-Hopefully an update to the in-game chapter with the Leviathan boss fight. It needs polishing.

  • stevenm281

Not sure Pryna is dead as she is in Episode Prompto.

Now is she in Episode Prompto due to Prompto’s hallucinations or is she really there?

  • EnclosureHD

STOP with this dlc bs… just release game pc… No one going buy FFXV @ this junction.

  • Allan

Have you ever considered that it’s not BS for other people? geez… The game didn’t exactly meet my expectations story-wise and I’m loving the post-launch support, even though I have to pay a few extra dollars sometimes.

Maybe one day FFXV will hit the PC audience, SQEX has been releasing almost every game on Steam so, why not?

  • Allan

I wanted them to expand Luna/Ravus relation in the base game… They tried a little with chapter 13, and they could achieve even more with some effort.

As for Pryna, she died and it’s confirmed in-game by some lady in Tenebrae when you stop by with the train. Unfortunately. IIRC she died during Tenebrae’s invasion, or was it when Luna died? need to load a savegame to double-check

PC gamers are always impatient about getting console games to their platform, while console gamers always show patience when it comes to PC games, probably due to the fact that not a whole lot of PC games are ported to console, so we’ve learned to deal with it.

I think console gamers are mostly impatient when it comes to a game released as a timed exclusive on another console.

  • stevenm281

According to FF wiki : “When Noctis visits Tenebrae, Lunafreya’s homeland, he learns Pryna died when Lunafreya did, possibly of heartbreak of having lost her owner. Umbra is said to be sad for having lost both his owner and his companion.”

Could Pryna’s soul be tied to Luna’s and Umbra’s to Noctis’ instead of this heartbreak thing?

  • Allan

I’ll probably play episode Prompto this weekend, but is Pryna’s appearance important? She came to Prompto in Brotherhood, hope they disclose a little more about her.

  • Allan

Even though it wasn’t exactly a happy moment, I liked seeing Iggy with my favorite attire 😀

  • Vallen

You’re a typical PC kid that’s whiny and angry. Almost wish the game wouldn’t come to your platform to punish people like you.

I like how they’re supporting the game and hope that support lasts long into 2018.

  • Vallen

Hallucinations, she died when Luna died, but it’s not specified if due to heartbreak, or if Ardyn killed her since she’s a messenger.

  • Vallen

Yes it will. Though, I suspect it might be early December since they’re taking so many months. We’ll see.

  • •december

    Still way too ambiguous.
    And also, welp spoilers lol

  • stevenm281

important.. not really, she serves as a guide.

  • EnclosureHD

You all dancing for me.. Who going buy PS4 or XBOX @ this junction for FFXV after months release?! You guys understand nothing…

  • Mayumi Kato

judging by their pattern always on last Tuesday of the month, Gladio 3-28, Prompto 6-27, Iggy will arrive on christmas

  • Lee Xueping

Well because you’ve never played FFXV, you won’t know that all the dlcs are needed to get the full story of FFXV not joking. I swear these dlcs feel like important cut content from the game.

Honestly as a PC Gamer FFXV is such a disappointment to me I could care less if it shows up on Steam though there are those that do, but for real Square needs to stop this whole take a long time to release the game on PC business already, they better not try that shit with future FF releases like the FF7 Remake or games I want to be released on Steam like KH3, or games I want to exist like Versus XV they should be like the western guys same day or 1 month afterwards.

    >PC gamers are always impatient about getting console games to their platform, while console gamers always show patience when it comes to PC games

Well the answer is simple there is little market to play shittier versions of games, but there is a growing market to play the same games on a better platform.

The PC is practically the supreme platform for all these games, and some games simply can’t be done on the consoles case in point Arma 3 which the developers have said not possible on the PS4 and Xbox One.

But games like FFXV, Dissidia NT, KH3, FFVII Remake, FFVIII Remake, FF Versus XV, FFIX Remake, and Spider-Man PS4 any possible game developed for a console are all possible on PC, because the PC is an open platform where as the console is a closed platform.

There are also objective reasons like

    1. Preservation You can’t preserve console games forever digital is the only media in which games can ever be preserve for an incredibly long time, physical media is finite, but digital files are infinite they can’t be fizzled out, and they can be played forever.
    2. Longevity At least in the case of Dissidia NT and other online games(for example you can play Dissidia right now online on the PC that’s not going to be possible forever on the consoles, anyone can set up a server, and peer to peer is a thing. hell even Everquest is still active can you believe that? freaking ever
    3. Performance, and Graphics
PC’s simply perform better, and the games look better they not only have smoother frame rates, but they have better graphics
    4. Mods customize the game to whatever you like or don’t your choice
    5. Convenience
PC Games can be played at home, and on the go you can also take the performance with you can buy a gaming laptop with a decent Graphics processor in it, and with USB Type-C you will be able to install a graphics card, or buy a very high powered laptop that can be taken on the go even though the battery life won’t be great, but still more portable than a console though. It’s great if you travel a lot and are in the competitive space for example you’re part of a Dissidia NT tournament and have a busy schedule that keeps you constantly on the go if Dissida NT showed up on Steam it would alleviate that issue, and you can also have good performance with it as well something I doubt the Nintendo Switch can offer.

The consoles apart from the Nintendo Switch don’t offer any of this, and even the Nintendo Switch lacks on the performance and power front even though it is portable.
