Final Fantasy XV July update adds Magitek Exosuit costumes By Erren Van Duine on July 13, 2017 at 2:01 AM

The long-delayed Magitek Exosuits will finally be making their way to Final Fantasy XV this month, Square Enix announced today. Originally planned for a February launch, these invincible suits were delayed due to their resemblance to a certain popular series.

When they drop they’ll grant you invincibility for 30 minutes along with a boost to fishing skills. After you use them, there’s a cool-down period of 24 hours.

Those look way better than before.

  • stevenm281

These are the same ones from before… the new ones haven’t been shown yet…

  • stevenm281

Yes!!! Now that we be cool and would link the suits to the lore of the game rather than being forced in it.

That would mean that the suits were made by Niflheim. It would also be a nice “hommage” to Kingsglaive.

  • NoctLightCloud

Omg!! Can we send you to SQEX so you can show them directly?:O ^^

  • Lord Shiru

That would be awesome, right ?

  • Lord Shiru

Yeah, but sadly… I don’t think that it will look as good as Glauca’s armor.

  • JohnVuojo

    It’s morphin’ time!

  • Robert Stukenbroeker

    lol

  • This wont help the game be fun. It just make the characters into a joke.

  • King Zeus

Looking at FFXII, and then looking at this..

    Quite sad actually.

  • Bruno

Oh, I think I got confused with the ones fron the Power Rangers movie lol

  • Vallen

Sometimes the game tries to be serious, and other times its this. I don’t like the jumps in style. The game should’ve been serious with the only humorous element being the party interaction during exploration. All this monster truck and power rangers and selfie competitions are ruining the theme of the game.

  • Gabriel Hage

WTF? I will never use these suits…

  • Syul

^ THIS ^ a thousand times. And then a thousand more. It makes a ton more sense than the old ones they showed, I think.

  • stevenm281

They clearly have no pride in their story, which is why once it released, they started to turn it into a joke, which is unfortunate because the game is a blast and its story is great, it just needs more of it. The only thing I enjoyed so far are the character episodes and the off-road driving, I initially liked the timed quest, but once they added the leaderboards and shit, I was utterly turned off.

  • stevenm281

the game is already so easy, why the invincibility?

Just an enhancement to all stats would be cool.

  • stevenm281

well that’s the whole point why they had to change the design of these suits lol

  • Syul

Plot twist: in August they release World of Ruin and it’s hard like in, hard, and that’s why they augmented the maximum level and gave the Magitek Exosuits (?)

  • stevenm281

well the next big update is for September, not August, August is where the announcement will be, but since its confirmed not to be Episode Ignis, it could be World of Ruin, it could be the multiplayer, I don’t know… but I’m psyched!

  • Exactly. They think adding stuff is what will save the game. No they need to fix what they have already. Make the battle system better. Add more difficulty. Add more special attacks and spells. They’re never gonna be as good as they were with X and 7. But they could at least try.

  • Dod

    Kill yourself FFXV.

  • Syul

I meant to say announce, but today my brain is pretty much fried ’cause of the insufferable summer heat over here xD The hype for August is real! I’m hoping for something Ardyn-related to be honest… I can’t wait to see more of his past >_< I mean, World of Ruin would be sick, but I'm weak for Trashy Hobo Lord xD

  • Average Afro

are they chocking with this effect?

  • Average Afro

As someone who was very “FFXV is a great game guys you just need to look past a couple of the issues” I now only play FFXV for the DLC, and I doubt I’ll ever really go through the story again unless they add in some major fixes, the battle system feels janky and slow and it’s unfun when the camera is all over the place.

I don’t regret playing it and defending it, but I’m now playing XII TZA and it’s SO MUCH better!

  • Average Afro

Considering what the last ones looked like, I doubt it 🙁

  • Randy Marsh

I can see why they had to change these, Lion’s Gate would be suing their asses so hard if they released these.

  • David Thornhill

This would make level 1 runs way too easy. Pass. 😉

  • Daniel Bachmann

    ‘Let Sleeping Mountains Lie quest.

  • •december

    Yikes.

  • •december

everything steven said i agree, the off-road driving wouldve made the open world section of the game a riot, had we had it from like chapter 2 or 3

  • 2me

Wow I never thought BD2 don’t have confidence toward XV story, this made me calm down. The game story wasn’t just lack, the story was proceeded & concluded under the world that wasn’t even half done. That’s why they tried to wrap this up promptly. Just look how Tabata’s team changed the story from ‘questioning about their powers’ to ‘fulfilling their destiny’.

I forgot there are still critical people in this community. Leaving my thoughts toward exosuit.

“It’s a fantasy after all you can put whatever you want no matter how unrealistic it is”
    – No, this is not true. The balance between Fantastical Settings and Realistic Settings is very important even the genre is a Fantasy. The fantasy world has to be under certain strict fantasy settings that need to make players/audiences desire to interact with this world.

Nomura & Nojima’s trailers have majestic feeling, and I can’t feel that from the product. The fights between Lucian Kings and Daemons is one of the example that shows how they tried to wrap up the story with the childish way. It’s doesn’t feel majestic, mess & depressive that’s all they can deliver to audience. Same with the game, Ardyn did all sort of mighty things by himself and it’s not either intensive or majestic. It is the one of the best way players loose their attachment toward the story and leaves depressive mood.

  • NoctLightCloud

Very well said! The story and it’s characters had the potential to be become one of SQEX’s best games. How depressive the outcome was. I still enjoyed the game, don’t get me wrong, but there wasn’t this wow-effect in any scene (except for the graphics). And everyone dying is a no-go for me.

  • NoctLightCloud

XII is hard to outdo though, Square has put so much work in XII. I’ve played every FF since VII, and the one I’d show to my friends first is XII. (Followed by X.)

  • NoctLightCloud

I’d actually love to see Glauca in the game. That would be cool!!

  • Jesiah Grant

So do we know if these will be the redesigned ones?
