Dragon Quest XI sells over two million copies in two days

Dragon Quest XI shifted over two million units during its first two days on sale in Japan, Famitsu reveals. These numbers represent the combined sales across both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS.

Per Famitsu, the 3DS version sold 1,130,468 units while the PS4 version sold a total of 950,338 bringing the grand total to 2,080,806. These numbers include sales for the standalone version of the game as well as both hardware bundles and the special Double Pack collector’s edition. Digital sales are not included in these numbers.

On the hardware front, the release of DQXI catapulted the 3DS up to 126,790 units and the PS4 to 93,954 units total for the week.

Dragon Quest XI is currently slated to launch in North America and Europe in 2018.
