King’s Knight Wrath of the Dark Dragon launches on iOS and Android By Tony Garsow on September 13, 2017 at 10:07 PM

King’s Knight -Wrath of the Dark Dragon- is now available on iOS and Android devices. One of Square’s earliest games, now 30 years old, King’s Knight predates Final Fantasy and was developed by Hironobu Sakaguchi and music composed by Nobuo Uematsu. King’s Knight is a sidescrolling shooter featuring many different characters.

Contemporary Square Enix fans might recognize it as that game that Noctis and pals from Final Fantasy XV talk about once or twice and has curiously found itself tied to the game’s expanding marketing Universe.

This version of the game will include up to 50 playable characters and has a four-player co-op mode.

You can download the game for free on Google Play and iTunes.

When Square first annouced this, I thought it would be released as a mini-game in FF XV as well, just like Monster Justice Five… Too bad it’s not the case. Why release it then as part of FF XV Universe…
