The second major patch to come after Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood‘s launch in June will be called Rise of a New Sun. In it, the main scenario will continue — this time bringing the Warrior of Light and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn back to Othard.

The patch will also kick off a new side story introducing us to four trials that will come in future patches. Similar to the Warring Triad saga in the Heavensward patch series, which featured trials against Sephirot, Sophia, and Zurvan, this new tale is called The Four Lords — and first up is Byakko.

Main Scenario: Rise of a New Sun
