Final Fantasy XV Version 1.20 adds character switching; Comrades update includes daily quests

Final Fantasy XV‘s Version 1.20 update is now live and brings with it the ability to switch characters in battle. By activating abilities in the Technique tree of the Ascension menu, you’ll be able to switch to either Gladiolus, Prompto, or Ignis — each node costs 20 AP to activate. Each party member gains access to the battle style featured in their respective DLC episodes. When a battle concludes, you will automatically return to controlling Noctis.

Timed quests have also transitioned to an offline mode where you will still be able to collect QP to redeem prizes (like the Afrosword) but there will no longer be competitions for titles.

In an update to the multiplayer expansion Comrades, a new NPC will trade elemental shards collected from daily quests to get special buffs. Only one can be active at a time, and they include various parameter buffs, special statuses, or bonuses to crafted weapons.
