    I wanna go there!

    About time.

  • So you ride a roller coaster and see flashing FF images?
I’m not sure I see the appeal. Wouldn’t a non-FF ride be cheaper and still fun?

  • Anyone thinking these visuals are straight from FF7 remake? They don’t look that CG. Except the shot with chocobos.

I can’t wait to relive Final Fantasy 7.

  • Codes McGodes

I imagine it’s similar to the Harry Potter ride at Universal.

  • Kyle

Yes! I thought the same thing.

  • Randy Marsh

Considering it’s Universal Studios….everything is expensive, since they don’t do nonlicensed material rides. And a lot of the rides in Universal Studios Japan does many rides such as this with other materials such as anime and games.

  • No I mean any roller coaster.

The Chocobo shot was from FFXIV, the Lightning scene also is from FFX. It’s not just FFVII, although they seem to focus on FFVII for this ride. As for the visuals looking like they’re straight from FFVII Remake, I’m not entirely sure about that. Cloud is in his Advent Children attire.

Regardless, I’d love to see this ride in person.

The appeal is that it’s a Final Fantasy themed ride. What’s there not to get? The XR rides combine VR with movement. Look at the Back to the Future ride they used to have at Universal Studios. Many people remember fondly of that ride being one of their favorite attractions having enjoyed the BTTF movies and being able to experience a new adventure in a theme park ride.

It’s fun, it’s Final Fantasy, I don’t know what else there is to explain.

  • James Stine

The Harry Potter attractions get loads of people on them, including the train rides. Not surprising to see FF among other franchises get something like this in Japan!

  • If it’s a FF would more fun be had from just playing a game or watching a movie? I’d rather they fund a movie for FF6.

  • Well. I did the judgement mainly on the Midgar shot. It wasn’t much. 😛

Looks pretty full cg to me. But still could be from the FFVIIR designs or cutscenes.

  • Justice V

Same as the Transformers ride at Universal in the US, or the Harry Potter ride, or the Simpsons ride, etc.

  • James Stine

Do you understand the appeal of amusement park rides?

  • Yeah but they don’t need to ve movie themed.

  • James Stine

And yet a lot of them are… especially at Universal Studios…

I really hope not. Sephiroth is using his Dissidia (Amano) outfit… and even though it was the original design, I really rather see him using his PSone outfit
