Watch SaGa Scarlet Grace gameplay on four different platforms By Tony Garsow on May 26, 2018 at 2:04 PM

Game designer and father of the SaGa series Akitoshi Kawazu showed off SaGa Scarlet Grace on four new platforms in a recent broadcast. In the video presentation below, we see the game running on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and iOS/Android smartphones.

Every platform will be capable of running at 60 frames-per-second and will run in 1080p except for the Switch version when it is undocked. The PlayStation 4 Pro will be able to run it at 4K resolution.

SaGa Scarlet Grace (for all platforms other than Vita) will release in Japan on August 2nd. There are plans to bring the game to the West, but no details yet.

  • I wanna play this game but I wonder who my mains will be. Maybe it’s the type where you gotta use everyone like FFX.

  • What’s this games’ length like? It was a phone game right? Is it short? Is there not a lot of exploration?

  • “What’s this games’ length like?” Kawazu said he estimates anywhere between 30 to 60 hours for one playthrough. Given that the game has a total of seven main characters, you’re likely looking at a minimum of 200 hours of gameplay.

“It was a phone game right?” Used to be a PS Vita exclusive.

“Is there not a lot of exploration?” There is, but it’s all on the world map, meaning you don’t get dungeons the way you do in other RPG.

    Also from your other comment:
“Maybe it’s the type where you gotta use everyone like FFX.” No, you can pick your characters as you please, but bear in mind that to see the full narrative, you need to play through each main character’s story.

  • As long as it’s fun and got characters I like I’m down for it.
A small fully flushed out cash is much more cool to me than a huge cast with absolutely no development or a ton of archetypes. Like in Legend of Heroes games recently.
