Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD arrives on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – Nintendo Switch port coming soon By Raptorchan on September 6, 2018 at 11:20 PM

Square Enix has released a trailer to coincide with the cross-platform port release of Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD, which is now available for download on the PlayStation Network and Microsoft stores. A port for the Nintendo Switch has also been announced, but will be released at a later time.

With a base price of $29.99 USD, it seems that the Xbox and PS4 ports are not following the same episodic formula that the PC and mobile versions had, and that the entire game will be made available upon purchase.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition was originally released as a mobile version of Final Fantasy XV, and has since been steadily released across multiple platforms. You can check out our coverage of the PC port for a video focusing on the first hour of gameplay.

You can also check out the multi-platform launch trailer below.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, iOS and Android devices. An Nintendo Switch port will be available at a later date.

I wonder if they’ll be sensible enough to add controller support to the PC Microsoft version…I doubt it.

  • DairyQueen_DQ

Ummm… For 15$ more I can actually play the royal edition on playstation

  • Randy Marsh

Is it technically possible to get a restraining order against a video game? Final Fantasy XV just keeps popping up places like a creepy stalker when I just want it to go away….

  • Krijn van Alten

Hurray, because this was of course all we ever dreamed for…..not.

On the positive side, it’s long overdue and I’m glad FFXV finally found its way to the Switch

  • Patrick Bateman

lmfao best thing i’ve read in here in a long while

    Can I join?

I’m sure Square Enix and Tabata are just scrambling to get it away from you. FEARFUL of hateful, mean bad language things mighty internet commenter Randy Marsh might say of it.

In-between counting all the money it’s made, and all positive critical and audience reviews it has.

    what a loser lol

getting all worked up over a damn video game that’s been out for two years now

here’s an idea: move the hell on? deal with it? no one cares what you think lol

  • Randy Marsh

You act like I’m getting worked up. I wrote that comment more out of comedic intentions. However, I think you clearly do care what I think if you responded to my comment with the previous statement you just wrote? I mean defend the game you want, my friend. You’re entitled to enjoy the game and all it pushes out, by all means. Some of us are just a bit eh with how much SE keeps having FFXV appear out of every corner every couple of months.

  • Randy Marsh

And SE will be counting my money even more when the true complete edition of the game comes out next year most likely….

  • JTD95

Here’s an idea: recognize an obvious joke.

  • ShiruXIII

Good news for the Switch because this version has a lot of good stuffs and is more focused on the story =).

Digital only games aren’t my cup of tea. I still prefer physical copies for obvious reasons.
