Square Enix announced today that Dragon Quest Builders 2 is headed to the United States on July 12, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles. Preorders for the PlayStation 4 version are now available on the Square Enix store.
Although a sequel to the previous Dragon Quest Builders game, Dragon Quest Builders 2 features an all-new original story with a new world and characters. The game promises unlimited building combinations and even more content and gameplay that players both old and new can enjoy.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 will introduce online multiplayer for the first time, allowing up to four friends to play together and build fantastic creations. The game will also come with a plethora of new gameplay enhancements, which will include:
- Construct bigger structures with more variety and options than before.
- Travel faster by soaring, swimming and dashing through the expansive world.
- Inspire villagers to help out alongside them.
- Create their own farms and raise a multitude of crops.
- Divert flowing water to create your own rivers, waterfalls, and swimming holes.
- First-person mode and more.
