Square Enix reveals lineup and events for PAX East 2019 By Raptorchan on March 19, 2019 at 5:52 PM

Square Enix will be attending PAX East this year, which takes place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on March 28th to the 31st. At booth #11017, fans can win special prizes and play demos for current and upcoming titles such as Dragon Quest Builders 2, Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy!, Life is Strange 2, Final Fantasy XIV and more.

Fans who also visit the Square Enix booth can obtain a promotional card that can be redeemed at Kung Fu Tea locations in Boston for a discount on the “Tidus and Yuna’s Grape Elixir” themed drink. It should be noted that these cards will be in limited quantity. For more information on the collaboration, you can visit the official website for Kung Fu Tea.

Additionally, Final Fantasy XIV is a promotional partner of PAX East 2019, and will be sponsoring the official PAX East Stream. Attendees can receive FFXIV lanyards and are encouraged to take pictures with a replica aetheryte from the in-game city of Kugane.

The full list of fan activities at the Square Enix booth will include:

  • Final Fantasy XIV Seiryu Battle Challenge, where players can challenge Seiryu to win an “I Beat Seiryu” t-shirt.
  • Utilize the Final Fantasy XI ReFriender Station, which will allow players the chance to reunite with friends from FFXI by registering their FFXI character details and searching for other players on the same World.
  • The chance to win a Slime Plush by taking a photo at the themed Dragon Quest Builders 2 photo wall and posting it on Twitter or Instagram.
  • Play Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia and Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] on a large touch screen.
  • Receive a special themed Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy! lunch box, if you are one of the first 25 attendees per day to show proof of game purchase.
  • Have a chance to win a Mech Edition and new Logitech headsets if you take a photograph with your Left Alive poster and post it on Twitter.
  • Daily giveaways, while supplies last, include:
    • Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy! buttons.
    • Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross], and Star Ocean: Anamnesis buttons.
    • Dragon Quest Builders 2 double-sided poster.
    • Final Fantasy X/X-2 and Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age double-sided poster.
    • Final Fantasy XIV foam dark knight swords.
    • Left Alive double-sided poster.

Those who visit booth #11031 to view and purchase Square Enix merchandise–which include Bring Arts, Play Arts Kai, plush toys and more–will be able to play some of the Square Enix tabletop games, which include:

  • Final Fantasy XIV Gold Saucer Cactpot Party board game, which is available for purchase.
  • Final Fantasy Trading Card Game.
  • Chocobo’s Crystal Hunt.
  • The upcoming Tomb Raider Legends Board Game.

    yep lol first thing i noticed was the lack of FFVII news…it’s going to be a long year.. :

    PAX does not do important announcements like that, mainly due to PAX being more of a fan devoted event, and less having to do with the development of games. PAX does not have investors and other important figures being present also. So don’t expect anything until this coming June at E3.
