Just Cause 4’s next DLC revealed: Los Demonios - Spring Update arrives

Square Enix has announced the next crazy and action-packed DLC adventure for Just Cause 4, which is scheduled to release worldwide on July 4th, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and the Xbox One family of consoles. Players with Gold Edition or an Expansion Pass will receive early access on June 26th, 2019.

While Rico and Javi investigate a newly discovered temple off the shore of Solis, an archaeologist working with the Black Hand unexpectedly releases an ancient demonic force from its long imprisonment. Now, a parasitic infestation spreads across Solis, attacking and terrorizing anyone in their way, and Rico must face this new threat while searching for answers on how to eradicate the demon invasion from the island before it’s too late.

Los Demonios will add a new supernatural experience to Just Cause 4, as demonic hordes, pulsing tendrils and spore-filled clouds will infest the towns and people of Solis. Players will have to utilize all of Rico’s skills and tools to emerge victorious, as the demonic hordes can spit corrosive projectiles, possess soldiers and take over military vehicles.

The new missions will seamlessly integrate with Just Cause 4’s sandbox gameplay, and will enhance the world further by providing the return of the popular liberation gameplay from Just Cause 3. New weapons and equipment will be introduced, including the Demon Crossbow and Demon Egg Supply Drop, which will only add even more chaos to the over-the-top world of Just Cause 4.

“Los Demonios is the second DLC pack in the ‘Dare Devils, Demons and Danger’ Expansion Pass, and it brings a totally new experience to Just Cause 4,” said Bryan Rodriguez, Creative Producer at Avalanche Studios. “For the first time, Rico is tangling with an otherwordly threat that will push him to his limits. This is our chance to see if Rico is as good at squashing demons as he is at toppling dictators!”

Additionally, the Just Cause 4 Spring Update is now in full effect. A massive patch has been released today that improves the way light interacts with the environment, the addition of destructible statues and train bridges, new chaos objects to destroy in the open world, more ammunition and a dialed-up “heat” system that will “have the Black Hand challenging Rico like never before.”

Just Cause 4 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
