Square Enix taking a "clean slate" approach in terms of plans for bringing Final Fantasy Type-0 to the west

Square Enix has yet to localize Final Fantasy Type-0 due to market reasons.

That’s quite obvious given the state of the PSP outside of Japan. One could argue the company waited too long to make any localization decision on the title, but Hajime Tabata has provided a few words instead that may encourage you.

“Due to market reasons, we are taking a clean slate in terms of our plans. We feel strongly about bringing this title to the fans in North America and Europe, so if an opportunity arises that can become a conclusive factor, we are prepared to go into consideration right away,” Tabata told GameSpot when asked about a possible release for Type-0 in North America and Europe.

Vague words to be sure, but at least he’s acknowledged it. Other highlights of the interview include Tabata’s history at Square, and a bit of insight on Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. You can read the rest of the article here.
