A look at Lightning Returns in the recording studio

The development of Lightning Returns continues ahead of its Fall 2013 release.

This past week, Mitsuto Suzuki – one of the game’s three composers – shared a bit of an update on the soundtrack front. While not an update in terms of words, Suzuki did include several photographs over on the Square Enix Music Blog which chronicles the recording process with drummer Saeko Suzuki. A few of the other images include Masashi Hamauzu recording on the same day, as well as Suzuki recording trumpet with Square Enix’s sound editor Masayuki Sato.

Mitsuto Suzuki, along with Naoshi Mizuta and Masashi Hamauzu will be helming the soundtrack for Lightning Returns – each composer lending their unique style to each separate continent in the game world.
